We're excited to announce ContentPen's Public API, giving every plan programmatic access to the platform, alongside a rebuilt plans and billing experience with AI Visibility now merged directly into the core plans, a full frontend revamp, Logo-Only branding for AI images, and Instant Visibility runs with per-run retries, plus a large round of reliability fixes across Autopilot, AI Visibility, image credits, and authentication.

🔌 Public API & API Tokens

ContentPen now has a Public API, available on every plan. Generate organization-scoped API tokens from your workspace, and integrate ContentPen's article generation and SEO tools directly into your own tools and workflows. 💳 New Plans, Now With AI Visibility Included

ContentPen's plans and billing experience has been rebuilt from the ground up, and the headline change is this: AI Visibility is now merged directly into the main plans, instead of sitting separately. Every new plan includes AI Visibility tracking as part of its core value, at better overall pricing. Check out the new pricing at contentpen.ai/pricing.

Stackable add-ons let you add extra workspaces, extra prompts, or one-time AI image credit top-ups on top of your current plan.

The Billing page has also been redesigned with separate Plan and Usage tabs, a purchase dialog that confirms add-ons before checkout, paginated invoices, and next-payment amounts with discounts itemized clearly.

🎨 Logo-Only Branding Mode

A new Logo Only option is available for Brand Imagery on both Featured and In-Article AI images. Apply just your logo to generated images without your brand colors.

✨ Full Interface Redesign

ContentPen's entire app interface has been revamped with a cleaner, more consistent design across every core screen, improving clarity and usability throughout the platform.

⚡ Instant Visibility Runs & Retry for Failed Runs

Newly activated Visibility prompts now run immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled cycle, then fold back into your regular schedule going forward. If an individual prompt run fails during a sync, you can now retry just that run directly, without waiting for the next scheduled sync.

🔧 Improvements & Fixes

Image Generation & Credits:

• Image editing now inherits brand colors automatically - When editing an AI-generated image, brand colors from the original image now carry over automatically, removing the need to manually reapply brand settings on every edit.
• Accurate image credit charging - Image credits are now correctly charged for every AI image generated. Articles that would exceed your available credits are now blocked upfront with a clear notice, instead of failing partway through generation.

Article Export:

• Word document download showing a blank page - Fixed. Downloading a Word doc for an article still in the outline stage (Two-Step flow) now correctly downloads the outline; downloading from a fully generated article downloads the full document as expected.

Autopilot & AI Visibility Quality:

• Improved content pillar matching - Content pillars are now judged by semantic meaning rather than shared keywords, producing more relevant topic groupings.
• Better handling of large keyword sets - Large keyword corpora are now bounded to what a planning cycle can realistically use, avoiding overload.
• Failed, empty, or short planning runs now explained and recoverable - Autopilot planning runs that fail, return empty, or come back too short now show a clear explanation and a way to recover, plus an email notification when Autopilot needs your attention.

AI Visibility Tracking:

• Tracking cadence and scheduling fixes - Visibility tracking cadence is now resolved consistently against your plan everywhere it's used, and changing your cadence correctly reschedules the next run.
• Run status accuracy - Scrape errors from data providers are now surfaced instead of hidden, the run status indicator has been corrected, and a run that returns an empty response now correctly fails instead of silently appearing successful.

Account, Auth & Onboarding:

• Login/register page flash after signup - Fixed. Signing up no longer shows a brief flash of the login or register page before landing you in the app.
• Signup button loses its loading state - Fixed. The signup button now keeps its spinner instead of swapping to a full-page loader mid-action.
• Workspace creation interrupted by routing - Fixed an issue where the router could pull users out of the create-workspace flow partway through.

Feature Access & Locking:

• Clearer messaging on locked features - Locked controls now explain why a feature is locked instead of immediately surfacing the pricing modal, and locked rows and tabs are now properly non-interactive. Reducing an add-on is now checked against your current usage, with a warning shown before any reduction that would put you over capacity.

WordPress & Content Refresh:

• Clearer WordPress connection validation errors - Non-200 responses from the WordPress connection check now show an explanation instead of a generic failure.
• Content recovery during Content Refresh - Source content that was previously dropped by the article extractor during a refresh is now correctly recovered.
